By purchasing from The Kiki Connection, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These policies ensure transparency in our practices and protect both our customers and our business.

1. Health and Shipping Policy

  • We breed and raise high-quality Puerto Rican Kikiriki chickens with the utmost care.
  • Before shipping, we thoroughly inspect each bird to ensure it is healthy. A video of the healthy bird being placed into the shipping box will be sent to you as proof of its condition at the time of departure.
  • If we determine a bird is not fit for travel, we will notify you and offer a substitution.
  • We are not liable for any issues, including but not limited to injury, illness, stress, or death, once the bird has left our care.

2. Post-Shipping Responsibilities

  • Not every bird travels well. Some may experience shipping stress. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate aftercare to help the birds recover.
  • Proper aftercare is crucial and may include:
    • Providing heat with the ability for the bird to escape it.
    • Keeping antibiotics, electrolytes, vitamins, and fresh water on hand.
    • Ensuring access to proper food, clean water, and necessary nutrition.
    • Avoiding handling the birds for the first week to allow them to rest and acclimate.
  • As miniature chickens, these are fragile animals, and purchasing them means you accept the responsibility of caring for them should any health issues arise.

3. Shipping and Liability

  • We only ship on Mondays to ensure the best possible travel conditions.
  • Birds typically arrive within 24-48 hours; however, shipping times may vary based on USPS operations.
  • If you encounter a problem with your shipment, claims must be filed directly with USPS. We are not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused during transit.
  • Once the package has been accepted by USPS, we are no longer responsible for the birds.

4. No Refunds or Returns

  • All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or replacements for any reason.
  • Due to the live nature of our animals, we cannot accept returns.

5. Sexing Policy

  • We do our best to determine the sex of young birds, but sexing is never guaranteed.
  • The only guaranteed way to determine sex is when a bird crows (male) or lays an egg (female).
  • If you receive a bird of a different sex than expected as it matures, we are not liable, and no refunds or replacements will be provided.

6. Buyer Acknowledgment

By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that:

  • You have researched the care required for Kikiriki chickens before buying.
  • You understand that these are delicate animals that require proper care, especially after shipping.
  • You accept full responsibility for their health and well-being after arrival.

7. Legal Disclaimer

  • By completing a purchase, you waive all claims against The Kiki Connection regarding the health, survival, or well-being of the birds after they leave our possession.
  • Under no circumstances shall The Kiki Connection be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the purchase, transport, or care of the birds.
